The 4th graders officially completed MSTEP testing on Monday! They showed amazing stamina and effort!
The rest of our week was back to a relatively normal schedule. Third graders will start testing on Tuesday, May 19th while the 4th graders are split between the other 4th grade classrooms.
Fourth graders will also go on the field trip to the Michigan Science Center on the 20th. Thank you to Emily's mom for chaperoning!

- The students were tested to obtain their DRA reading level
- They continued reading texts and using evidence to determine the author's judgment on a topic
- Students are wrapping up their nonfiction drafts, and I had the opportunity to check in with each of them to make sure they were on track. They also had the chance to peer conference for feedback.
- Our exploration of fractions continued this week with addition and subtraction of mixed numbers.
- After our earth science pretest, we began the unit with observations of our rock "pets"
- Both grade levels began their next chapters of MI history.
- The class also completed some readings on economics.
